What If…? premiere brings back a surprise deep cut character from Agent Carter's MCU history

The What If…? premiere may have denaturized some key moments from Marvel's history – including introducing Captain Jimmy Carter, no less – but there were still some familiar faces dotted throughout the first episode.

One of them is likely to glucinium mortal you seat picture but sack't quite place – because information technology's an marvellous deep cut from Marvel's 'One-Shot' years.

For those who don't remember, One-Shots were Wonder's answer to short films, often included in home releases as a fillip adventure featuring some of the MCU's supporting cast. Hayley Atwell regular got her own Agentive role Carter One-Shot connected the Iron Man 3 DVD.

But backbone to What…If? In the commencement episode, Captain Carter clashes with her superior at the Strategic Scientific Reserve. The man who wants to put Peggy on ice (so to speak up) outside from the frontlines is none another than Trick Flynn (Bradley Whitford), the chauvinistic cause from the Agent Carter One-Shot.

Patc it's super to see Marvel pull some fairly obscure characters from its archives, it's likely going to equal other kick up in the teeth for those who wanted to imag the actual Agent Carter series (which ran for two seasons along ABC) being celebrated in the replacement universe adventure.

A new Legends episode recapping Peggy Carter's Marvel history did non feature Federal agent Carter, while Toilet Flynn's appearance here is pretty much the inalterable boom in the coffin of anyone expecting Peggy's post-World War II field operations to be cemented into canon. Still, Captain Carter could well prove to be a capable replacement.
